TWENTY- SEVENTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME (B)

Dear Parishioners,

Today after all Masses we will have a collection for the CAFOD Family Fast. We were asked to fast from a main meal on Friday and the money we saved we would donate to the CAFOD appeal. We do hope that you will all be as generous as you normally are to this collection.

ROSARY UNDER THE CROSS IN THE BRITISH ISLES FOR FAITH, LIFE AND PEACE: The Holy Spirit is inspiring other nations to ROSARY Coast to Coast on Sunday 7th October. We in the British Isles are to be in solidarity with this with our Rosary under the Cross. We will gather in the silence of Mary and kneel under the Cross- and with Mary embrace the Cross of Christ in our times

And plead for God’s mercy. God’s Mercy will again flow when we Repent- “This is the time of fulfilment. The kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Repent and Believe in the Gospel!” Mk 1v15. We are being asked to say the Rosary along with many, many Churches throughout the world on this day. October 7th is the Feast of the Holy Rosary and we will, hopefully gather together in our Church of St. Michael’s and pray the Rosary together at 2.00pm. Everyone is welcome and we will be joining many Churches in the British Isles and Coast to Coast in USA, Canada, India, Panama, Lebanon, New Zealand and others. It is a wonderful opportunity for the Church to be together in Prayer. The Church is persecuted; God’s Commandments and the Moral law are ignored as irrelevant, with countries passing laws in contradiction to God’s laws. The Church needs spiritual power to confront the serious challenges to faith arising from social change and secularization. The antidote to all this is the Rosary, repentance, penance and reparation. This is the Peace plan, which our Blessed Lady gave in Fatima along with the Consecration to her Immaculate Heart.

KATHY WILSON: wishes to say a huge thank you to everyone for the many cards, messages and condolences for death of her Son, Mark. It was a wonderful occasion with so many people attending the funeral, many came from East Ham and Kath was so moved by the support she has received She is offering a Holy Mass for all your intentions. Please keep her in your prayers.

God Bless Bob
