THE FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (B)

Dear Parishioners,

This week end we say good bye to Jonathan who has been with us for the past month. He has involved himself well and truly in all that was going on in the Parish and I have been very grateful in his support the whole time he was with us. He will be having a few days at home before going back to the Seminary in Valladolid, Spain. We wish him every success and hopefully he will pay a visit in the summer when he returns to England. He will then hopefully begin studies in one of the English Seminaries or even go to Rome . We will track him over the years and keep him in our prayers.

A short note from Jon himself.

Dear All, Unfortunately my short time with you has come to an end as I will be returning to Spain on Wednesday. Thank you all very much for your kindness and generosity and also making me feel so welcome in your Parish. I have learned so much this past month and I shall never forget the experience. Thank you and God Bless. Jonathan.

MASS BOOKS: We now have more Mass Books at the back of the Church. These are the last ones we have had to replace after the Fire we had two years ago. The cost was £500.00 to purchase them. We have put 20 Mass books in the Repository for sale at £2.00 for those who wish to have their own book. If any one wishes to give a donation towards the cost of the books it would be very much appreciated. Also in the Repository there are the Diocesan Year Books for 2018 on sale. They give you all the information of what is happening in the Diocese and can be very useful if you wish to know times of Masses in other Parishes and lots of other information of the teachings of the Church. Cost is £2.75 a book.

CATHOLIC PAPERS: It is sad to see so many of the Catholic Papers having to be thrown away each week. They are on sale at the back of the church and there is always excellent news about the Church and especially when Pope Francis travels to different countries and you can read all about the reception he receives and read what he says at the great gatherings of people for him Masses. Please place the monies in the Box in the wall above the papers.

GOD BLESS
