Dear Parishioners,

This week end we celebrate National Youth Sunday. A member of the Diocesan Youth Group will be speaking to us at all the Masses this week end about the great work that our young people do in the Brentwood Diocese. I know you will make her very welcome and we will, be having a Retiring collection at all the Masses for the many activities that our young people do in serving the people of the Diocese.

ST. MICHEAL’S SCHOOL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: Next Sunday 2nd December, St. Michael’s School will be holding a Christmas Bazaar in the School Hall from12noon to 3.00pm to which you are all invited to come along. It is a fund raising for the School and we do hope Parishioners will support the Bazaar. At the back of the Church there is a box in which you could give prizes for the different stalls and gifts to sell. We do hope it will be a great success.

CONFIRMATION: We have not received many applicants for the Confirmation program. Any young person who will be 14 yrs. Old by 31st August 2019 and wishes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation needs to send in a letter of application by Friday 30th November. The first meeting is with the Parents on Thursday 6th December. If you were Baptized outside St. Michael’s Church you will need to give a copy of your Baptismal Certificate as well.

THE DEANERY: On Thursday of this week, there will be a 10.30am Mass for all the deceased Priests of the Deanery. There will be no 9.00am Mass as Fr. Francis will be saying the Masses all this week in Royal Docks Parish. So we do hope people will come along to the Deanery Mass and pray for all our priests who served in the Newham Deanery. It’s a wonderful opportunity to say thank you to them all.

ADVENT SPIRITUALITY: Bishop Alan Williams,sm will be giving a talk on this topic at the Cathedral House Conference Centre, Brentwood next Saturday 1st December10.30am–12.00noon. Contact details:jude@dioceseof brentwood.org Tel.01277 265285. We do hope people will, be able to attend.

REPOSITORY: We have many Christmas gifts and Christmas Cards on sale in the shop at the back of the Church. Some of the Christmas cards support the Catholic Fellowship a charity that cares for people with Special Needs.
