Dear Parishioners,

Last week I thanked most groups and people who helped out in the Parish in 2017. I did leave two important groups out and they are the Ladies who work so hard each week with the Repository Shop at the back of the Church and the S.V.P. who do so much work in the Parish for those who live alone and those who need help. A big thank you to both groups and it would be wonderful if more people could join the S.V.P. as they would love to have more members. They meet every other Wednesday for one hour from 7.30pm and finish at 8.30pm If you are interested then please just come along to the parish Room and you will be most welcome.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH: will begin at 2.00pm. We are looking for Drivers to bring people to the School Hall, if you could come along to the School between 1.00pm and 1.30pm you will be given names and addresses as to whom you can pick up. We would also like drivers to come to the hall at about 4.30pm to take the people home. Please help us as we would not wish for those invited not to come because they had no one to bring them. If possible we could also do with some help in the Hall with the serving of the meals and chatting to the people. This is an important event in the parish and we hope that as many of you can come along and help and make it a very successful afternoon for our Senior Citizens.

FR. FRANCIS: We are having a Special Vigil Mass on Monday 22nd January at 7.00pm in the Church for the Repose of the Soul of Peter Ward, the father of Fr. Francis. Bishop Alan is hoping to be with us to Concelebrate the Mass and a number of the Deanery Priests will also join us. We do hope that Parishioners will come along for the Mass and afterwards there will be Refreshments in St. Michael’s School Hall. Fr. Francis will be travelling to Ghana on Wednesday to be with the family and to attend the funeral of his Father. We are looking for help with the refreshments, and preparing the hall, if you could come along at about 6.00pm and if you have food to share please bring it at that time as we will all want to be at the Mass at 7.00pm.

We also ask you to please keep Fr. Francis in your prayers at this time and pray for all his Family. GOD BLESS, Bob
