BRENTWOOD CATHOLIC CHILDREN’S SOCIETY CRIB DONATIONS:

The proceeds of the Crib Collection are donated each year to the Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society to support those children and families who need their help.

UNDERSTANDING THE CREED On Wednesdays 24th and 31st January from 7 p.m. until 8.30 pm Fr Adrian Graffy will lead an exploration of the Nicene Creed recited at Sunday Mass. These ‘Gidea Park Faith Evenings’ will take place in the hall at Gidea Park Catholic Church (410 Brentwood Road, Gidea Park, RM2 6DH). MASS FOR THE SICK: Our Lady of Lourdes is both the patroness of our diocese and the sick.  At 3 pm on Sunday 4 February, Bishop Alan will celebrate Mass in her honour at Brentwood Cathedral.  This is a diocesan celebration; all are invited.  During the Mass, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be given to those who are unwell.  This Mass is also an opportunity for those who attended the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in 2017 to give thanks for graces received.

THE BRENTWOOD CATHOLIC CHILDREN’S SOCIETY ANNUAL CHARITY BALL is their largest and most glamourous event of the year and takes place this year at The Rayleigh Club, Hullbridge on Saturday 10th March. An evening for young people aged 14-25, with Barry and Margaret Mizen speaking at 6.30pm, then the BCYS monthly Youth Mass at 8.00pm. Come and hear a story of amazing forgiveness and hope.
