Dear Parishioners,

On Thursday 22nd November we will be having a Mass at 7.00pm for our deceased families and friends especially for the names on the November Lists which are placed on the Altar at all Masses throughout November. We will also mention all those who have died in the past twelve months that we have in our Parish Register for the Dead. When we mention their names, if there is any person who is at the Mass who is a relation or friend of the person, mentioned, we will ask one of you to come forward and light a candle from the candle stands in front of the Altar as a memorial of the person named. We do hope as many of our Parishioners will attend this Mass. If people still wish to place names of their loved ones on the Altar for the rest of the month please take an envelope at the back of the Church and either hand it in to one of the Priests or place it on the Altar before the Mass.

A BIG THANK YOU: must got the two gentlemen who volunteered to clean up the space on the front of the Nursery Building of the bushes and weeds that were growing too big and all the rubbish that was being thrown all around it. Over five bags of bottles were collected and sacks of rubbish also. It was not an easy job and yet we have to say that it is a fantastic piece of work that has been well done. I had gone off to Brentwood for the Council of Priests meetings and other meetings in Cathedral House at 10.30am and when I returned at 5.30pm I could not believe that the job was completed and done so well. Thank you very much. We have somebody coming to take all the rubbish away from the garden this coming week. I do know the Staff of St. Michael’s School are very happy. We were having problems with all sorts of items being thrown into the bushes and on the pavement, that it was a worry, for parents with children coming and going to the School. Sadly also it was a place where items were being placed for other people to pick up, when nobody was around. We will be doing more work there as soon as we can. Probably cementing the area placing some nice white decorative stones in the cement to make it an attractive item to look at.

ROME: I shall be going to Rome on Monday with around 40 children and Teaching Staff from three of our Primary Schools including St. Michael’s, returning on Friday, no doubt shattered, but extremely happy. We will be saying Holy Mass at the tomb of St. John Paul II on Tuesday for all your intentions.
